Stationary Compactors

These compactors are two-piece units. The Packer is a stationary unit that is secured to concrete. The container is hauled away and dumped at the disposal site or recycling center, then brought back empty and reattached to the compactor. The benefit of a stationary unit is that the compactor is left behind, enabling the truck to carry a heavier payload of up to 40 yards.
Stationary compactors are rated by “Chamber Size”. This is the area inside the compactor that holds the trash before it is packed into the container. Stationary compactors can pack between 2 yards and 8 yards of material (plus any additional Hopper area above the chamber).
